What are extreme sports?

For many years people have been engaging with different activities to keep themselves entertained and have a bit of a thrill. People were content with the hype of playing sports like basketball, rugby, football, soccer, baseball, cricket and many more. These sports had a sense of thrill without much danger. It wasn't until recently that people have been pushing their boundaries in searching for the real thrill of sports and therefore extreme sports were born. During the early days when extreme sports were getting introduced, it was frowned upon. Extreme sports were considered crazy and was seen as a mindless activity. It wasn't until the early 20th century when extreme sports were accepted in society and are rendered cool. there are many type of extreme sports, each has its own unique adrenaline rush and experience. Extreme sports like Bungy jumping and skydiving are widely commercialized and are a big part of New Zealand tourism. Bungy jumping was invented by a group of people from Vanuatu who threw themselves using vines as ropes and was being done as a right of passage in life. A New Zealander AJ Hackett who found the activity turned it into a proper sport and Bungy jumping was born. Sky diving is an activity were a person jumps of a plane 13,000 ft from the sky then glides through the sky on speed more than 100 kph and touches down parachuting. Other extreme sports also include Base jumping, climbing, paragliding and many more.
